Data access policy for DNA and RNA sequencing from Human with M. haemophilum infection and controls

This dataset contains pseudonymised human DNA (exome) and RNA sequencing data generated to investigate genetic and immunological susceptibility to Mycobacterium haemophilum infection and related immune responses in cases and controls. Access is restricted to bona fide researchers at non-profit academic, clinical or public research institutions, for non-commercial research that is scientifically justified and clearly aligned with the aims described in the approved application. Data may only be used for the specific research project approved by the Data Access Committee (DAC) for this dataset. Any substantial change in objectives, or any new project, will require submission of a new data access request and DAC approval. The data may not be used for population origins or ancestry research, for general methods development that is unrelated to the approved research questions, or for any activity intended to identify or contact individual participants. Applicants must have appropriate approval (or a formal waiver) from a competent Research Ethics Committee / Institutional Review Board for their proposed project, sign the applicable Data Access Agreement, and implement suitable technical and organisational measures to ensure secure storage and handling of the data. Data use is time-limited to the period specified in the approved application and/or Data Access Agreement, after which the data must be securely destroyed or archived as instructed by the DAC and in accordance with local regulations. Data may not be shared with unauthorised third parties or transferred to another institution without prior written permission from the DAC. Users are expected to publish only aggregate, non-identifiable results, to acknowledge the original investigators, the Data Access Committee (EGAC50000000806) and the relevant EGA accession numbers in all presentations and publications, and, where appropriate, to return derived data or summary statistics to the resource in line with the Data Access Agreement and EGA policies.

Studies are experimental investigations of a particular phenomenon, e.g., case-control studies on a particular trait or cancer research projects reporting matching cancer normal genomes from patients.
