Whole-exome variant calling of individuals from the study of sepsis and acute distress respiratory syndrome in Spain
Research study of genetic susceptibility in sepsis and acute distress respiratory syndrome (ARDS). ARDS is a lethal condition, often derived from sepsis, lacking effective targeted treatments. Growing evidence indicates that the genetic component significantly influences susceptibility and severity of ARDS. We used whole-exome sequencing data in case-control studies to characterize genetic factors associated with an increase of ARDS risk.
